Return of the Rudolph Slots

Rudolph is back and crazier than ever in Return of the Rudolph slots. He may not be trying to blow up the North Pole this time (like in Rudolph's Revenge), but he's still wielding a baseball bat and looking to mess up Santa's Workshop. Keep reading to find out more on the latest game in Realtime Gaming's anti-Christmas slots series.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Rager

This 5-reel, 50-line slot has a traditional-looking holiday background. It features snow-covered houses and trees, which seems like a picturesque Christmas setting. However, the symbols show that this is anything but the case.

First off, you'll see a hood-covered Rudolph swinging his baseball bat and smoking a cigarette. He acts as a wild symbol and substitutes for all other icons, except the thugs scatter, to form winning combos. When appearing in reel 3, he expands to cover the entire reel (a.k.a. expanding wild). This expanding wild triples any payout that it helps form.

Other symbols include Santa, Mrs. Claus, a sleigh, teddy bear, thugs, A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9. Rudolph offers the highest payout of any symbol, delivering 2,000x the line bet for five symbols. He pays 6,000x when forming his own prize with an expanding wild involved. Santa pays the second most at 1,500x for five symbols, including 4,500x with an expanding Rudolph.

Return of the Rudolph Slots Special Features - Rudolph's Rampage Feature

Landing three or four thugs on the reels triggers a pick'em feature. All triggering thugs remain on the reels, and you select one to reveal one of the following bonuses: Rudolph's Rampage, Rudolph's Revenge, or Santa Strikes Back.

Rudolph's Rampage takes you to a tattered workshop that's been wrecked by the thugs. You select different locations to reveal hiding elves, with the goal being to use as few picks as possible. Three picks offers 50 free spins, four gives 25, five gives 20, six offers 15, seven delivers 10, and eight gives 5 free spins.

Santa Strikes Back awards you seven free spins. These free games put random candy canes on the thugs, Rudolph, and Santa. A candy cane will light up its corresponding reel. The goal is to light up all five the reels, which re-triggers free spins and boosts your multiplier 1x. This multiplier can go up to 9x, while free spins can be re-triggered up to 9 times.

Rudolph's Revenge gives you seven free spins along with doubled payouts. You can look forward to the thugs offering a higher multiplier whenever they appear.

This game also offers a progressive jackpot. You can win this jackpot by getting five scattered thugs anywhere on the reels. The jackpot is currently worth over $3,800 at the time of this writing.

Betting & Gameplay Options

The 50 lines are fixed in this slot. However, you can change the coin size from $0.01 to $1.00. These options make for a betting range going from $0.01 to $100.

Auto play is also available in this game. This feature keeps the reels spinning automatically with your selected betting preferences. Turbo Play, which speeds up how quickly the reels spin, is another helpful gameplay option.

Return of the Rudolph Slots RTP

The return to player (RTP) for this slot is unknown. We assume that it ranges somewhere between 95% and 96%, like many online slots. Given that we won a decent amount of times while playing, this game at least seems fair.

Turn Christmas Upside Down with Return of the Rudolph Slots

Return of the Rudolph slots offers all the aspects that made the first two games in this series so special. But it includes even more features, making it stand out from the pack.

After landing 3-4 scattered thugs on the reels, you can get any one of three features. They include Rudolph's Rampage, Santa Strikes Back, and Rudolph's Revenge, the latter of which pay homage to the first two games. You also have a chance to win a progressive jackpot with five thugs.

The only drawback with this game is the unknown RTP. But aside from this, everything else about Return of Rudolph is good. We see this slot as one that players can enjoy for multiple sessions.
